Waterfront Restaurants - Accessible by Boat

Are you going on a day or weekend cruise in your boat and want to know where the restaurants are where you can simply pull into a boat slip and enjoy a relaxing lunch on the water or a romantic dinner by the sea?

Naples Area

Hamilton Harbor

Club members are welcome for lunch and dinner or just an afternoon snack from the bar menu. Reserve a table in the dining room, dine al fresco on the deck, or drop by to relax and watch the sun set over Gordon Pass. In season, members can also enjoy Sunday brunch and evening barbeques by the bay. If you'd prefer to picnic on the water, the Hamilton Harbor kitchen provides exceptional on-board catering. Just call ahead and we'll prepare anything from box lunches to gourmet dinners, all made to order.

The Dock At Crayton Cove For dining by the water that is more refined and less casual, Neapolitans have flocked to the Dock at Crayton Cove for the last 30 years. The views of the water are spectacular and the menu is a combination of American classics, Caribbean dishes and a few Latin inspired creations. Prices run between $20 and $30 for seafood and meat entrees, while $34.95 will buy you the Dock’s famous “seafood tower,” a raw bar extravaganza that includes six oysters, 12 Prince Edward Island mussels, a half pound of Alaskan snow crab, six Gulf shrimp and six middleneck clams. Get on the boat early enough on a Sunday and you can take it to the Dock for brunch, where from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. you can have fun with the make-it-yourself Bloody Mary bar. Visit The Dock at Crayton Cove website

Bonita Springs Area

The Fish House From the outside, it does not look like much. It is a rather small, rather old shack that looks more like a fishermans house than a restaurant. Colorful umbrellas, hand-painted details on the walls and maritime décor will greet you as you disembark at their dock, located in Bonita Spring’s backwaters, not even a mile from the beach. This quaint, Florida-style eatery has won over locals and tourists alike with its simple seafood offerings, relaxed atmosphere and much coveted water side dining. The menu is unpretentious and offers everything you would expect from a seaside restaurant. Particularly good are the grouper tacos ($10.99) and the pan-seared tuna melt ($10.99). Happy hour all day on weekends also makes it a very popular hangout. 4685 Bonita Beach Rd. - Bonita Springs - 239.495.5770

Marco Island / Isle Of Capri Area

The Snook Inn The chickee bar alone is reason enough to love the Snook Inn. Close to the docks and close to the live music, this is the place where you want to sit to enjoy a daiquiri and a bite to eat. While “all you can eat” nightly specials might interest some, the best thing the chickee hut has to offer is not on the menu. Stop by during one of their famous hog roasts and you will enjoy a great Florida tradition just a few feet away from the water. Visit The Snook Inn website

The Blue Heron Just minutes from Marco Island down a windy mangrove covered road you will come across a small community called the Isles of Capri where you will find the only waterfront dining restaurant in the area. Situated on Johnson Bay, guests can enjoy a peaceful aperitif while watching the dolphins and manatees play in the bay, and some of the most breathtaking sunsets in the area. Visit The Blue Heron website

Restaurants at The Esplanade The Esplanade Shoppes, Residences and Marina, located on Smokehouse Bay, is a coastal Italian-style village consisting of upscale retailers, small specialty stores, fine dining and luxury waterfront residences on Marco Island, Florida. The attention given to the architectural detail is evident with every critical glance. From the expansive waterfront loggias and two levels of convenient covered parking to the lush floral landscaping and fountains, the retail experience at The Esplanade is exceptional. Ft Myers / Ft Myers Beach Area

Parrot Key Caribean Grill Looking for a new place to go by water, get a great Caribbean meal and sip an ice cold cocktail? Do not set your GPS to Key West, head to the Parrot Key Caribbean Grill. Parrot Key has answered the call of local boaters by opening its doors at Salty Sams Marina. The casual open-air restaurant features a spectacular view of Matanzas Harbor, and offers the best in tropical drinks, tempting appetizers and delicious entrées. Visit The Parrot Key Caribean Grill website

Snug Harbor Waterfront Restaurant Snug Harbor Waterfront restaurant, located on the docks along the beautiful Matanzas Pass in Ft Myers beach, has been a favorite of locals and visitors alike for over 35 years. Searing the freshest seafood, mouth watering slow-roasted prime rib, steaks, chicken, pork, salads, sandwiches and a wide variety of appetizers and home made desserts. Don’t forget our chowder and fresh baked bread. Snug Harbor even has a separate kid’s menu with crayons and vegetarian offerings to satisfy everyone’s appetite. Visit the Snug Harbor Waterfront Restaurant website

Bonita Bills Waterfront Cafe The name of the restaurant is a little misleading, as Bonita Bill’s is located in Fort Myers Beach, opposite the Matanzas Inn on the other side of the pass. Docking your boat during weekends in season might be a little tricky, but in the summer it might be easier to find a spot and stop in for lunch on the water. A Bonita local who has been eating grouper sandwiches everywhere for all his life once told me that Bonita Bills was simply the best. Although my grouper sandwich expertise might not be comparable to his, I have to admit that the blackened fillet of fish was indeed delicious. Expect to run into many live-aboard boaters who call the sailboats moored in the pass their home and find Bonita Bill’s casual atmosphere most congenial to their laid back lifestyle. 702 Fishermans Wharf - Ft Myers Beach - 239.463.6119
